Disciples is a contemporary curator of underground sounds based in London, UK, an in-house imprint of the legendary Warp Records. The initial concept was archival in nature, and focused on 'lost' recordings, whether that be the degraded DIY tapes of Mo' Wax affiliate Black Lodge (R.I.P), rephlexian braindance bangers by Bogdan Raczynski, or the teenage home recordings of His Name Is Alive. Creating new records out of tracks floating in the ether. Over time this has expanded to bring the same care and attention to releasing new music, whether it’s the avant-rap of Model Home; the infinite zones of Suzi Analogue; the paranoid torch songs of Ruth Mascelli; the no wave glam attack of Special Interest; the vertical jamming of Phew; the acoustic reveries of Maxine Funke; the gagaku techno of 99LETTERS, and much more.
