Eric Xi Xin Liang — Pianist

I'm Eric, and I'm convinced the most important and underappreciated music is sometimes the music nobody is playing.

There is repertoire that captures the human experience at its most searching, most spiritual, most alive, and some of it has been left behind due to lack of economic viability and/or algorithmic sensationalism. I play it because it deserves the full weight of serious interpretation: precision, depth, and a willingness to let the music mean something.

I also transcribe. Orchestral works, chamber music, opera, into my own piano arrangements, because my love for this instrument refuses to stay inside its written boundaries.
