হজরত আব্দুল্লাহ ইবনে ওমর (রা.) বলেন, হুজুরে আকরাম (সা.) বলেছেন, লোহায় পানি লাগলে যেরূপ মরিচা পড়ে, অনুরূপ মানুষের কলবের (অন্তরের) মধ্যেও মরিচা পড়ে যায়। কেউ জিজ্ঞাসা করল, ইয়া রাসুলাল্লাহ (সা.)! এটা পরিষ্কার করার উপায় কি? হুজুর (সা.) উত্তর করলেন, মৃত্যুকে বেশি করে স্মরণ করা ও কোরআন তেলাওয়াত করা। - (বায়হাকি)
